The premiere takes place on the 12th of June 2010. The Fashion Movie was produced by JJST.DE for eva gronbach. The german jeans collection was worn by coal miners in the Ruhr. It shows the transformation of the Ruhr from the Industrial- up to the modern society. Students of the Gesamtschule Saarn in Mülheim in Ruhr are taking the collection with effortlessness and fun to the future. The kids are wearing the fabrics that has once been worn by their fathers and grandfathers as protective clothing.

With her collection „Glück auf 2010“ eva gronbach is connecting the two European culture capitals 2010. The collection is based on used and worn miner clothes from the closed coal mines in the Ruhr and it is worn sustainability, worn history, worn transformation. Her clothes became a culture ambassador! Invited by the NRW.INVEST, the economic promotion community of North Rhine Westphalia, eva gronbach presented her collection „Glück auf 2010“ at the Istanbul Fashion Week. Inspired by the modern Turkish Metropolis Istanbul, the raw cole miner clothes fron the Ruhr, german jeans, are fusing with the precious silk fabrics and colours like rose, bordeaux and beige to a new poetry. Eva gronbachs vision of a modern, precious beauty existent of diversity and freedom is apparent in her collection.

Eva Gronbach invited the Federal Centre for Political Education (bpb) for the upcoming project NEXT GENERATION – the future of the city - to develop a future vision with the students of the UNESCO School Essen in a fashion design course.

With the support and sponsorship of the Ministers des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen , eva gronbach is teaching fashion design at schools.
-Its the goal of the Ruhrgebiet to become a cultivated landscape, which is looking forward to built a basis for fashion design. .....the kreativity of the kids will make it happen and speaks for itsselfs.
-Fashion is Identity. The fashion classes will deal with the question of identity which they will experience visually and materially. .....the education at academies , highschools and colleges are a very important precondition to start early with fashion design. The point and the mission is to motivate the students and to encourage them to be creativ and work as a designer. The Fasion design workshops are starting in Spring 2009 and Fall/ Winter 2009/ 2010. The results will be shown in the week of 3.-12. July 2010, when all protagonists come together and present their work at a fashion show.

Besides her new design of her german jeans collection, eva gronbach shows exclusively the belgian young couture designer Jessi Lecomte and the label from Bruxelles called le fabuleux marcel de Bruxelles.
The Belgisches Viertel is beyong doubt the most creativ neigbourhood in Cologne. In this heart of the city it isn´t only pretty, pretty things are made offsite the mainstream: fashion, design, art and music are coining the life around the Brüssler Platz. The scene presents them selfs as dynamic, experimental and international.
The best opportunity to get to know the exciting- creativ scene of the belgisches Viertel is the new upcoming event le bloc. Desinger and artist of the neigbourhood want to celebrate with you all in the >Block< on the 6th of June 2009 from 12pm to 12am on the Maastrichter/Brüsseler/Antwerpener/Brabanter street!
