Student fashion show in the exhibition „Istanbul Fashion“Friday, 14 November 2010, 2 PM Museum für Angewandte Kunst Köln (Museum of Applied Art) „Mode-Codes-Sprache(n)" ("fashion-codes-language(s)") is the title of a unique fashion workshop for students, started by renommated fashion designer eva gronbach in collaboration with the museum center of Cologne and the vocational college Humboldtstraße. The class project with a multilingual group of students of the vocational college will be conducted at the Museum of Applied Art Cologne. She will be supported by colleagues of the museum center and by teachers from the school. Through this, eva gronbach now continues her already successful fashion design courses that took place in schools of Duisburg, Mühlheim and Essen and and brings them to Cologne. |
The occassion for the workshop is the recently opened exhibition„Istanbul Fashion“. From 8 through 12 November 2010 the students will draw, describe and craft their own designs. The designs bring forth support of language competency, for example as inspiration for poems and the written collection of single words in a big multi-lingual dictionary. The film shows school kids of the comprehensive school Saarn in Mühlheim at the Ruhr, who transport german jeans with lightness playfully into the future. Conni Kaminski exclusively at the eva gronbach store on March 3rdConni Kaminski who is actually German, established her own label in Brussels in 2005. She presents her collections on international fairs twice a year. Her female customers are coming from all over the european countries even from Japan and Kuwait to enjoy her clothes. Eva Gronbach :"My aim was to design shoes that are light, modern and at the same time reduced - the co-operation with möbus enabled me to do right that.“ The results are two white and black/white loafers and two boots as well as a black patent leather shoe, all unisex. The upper material is leather and Nubuk. Museum exhibition "Generation Mode"The large fashion exhibition in the Stadtmuseum Duesseldorf shows inernational fashion design of the generation in its mid-twenties. The idea and concept are by Eva Gronbach, who as a curator has visited fashion schools in large cities of five continents and selected prototypes and designs of the respective designer scenes and brought them back to Duesseldorf.
